All students and their parents are reminded that access to school ICT is not an automatic right and that all users must adhere to the ICT Acceptable Use Agreement (which forms part of their Student Planner).

This agreement is shown below:

ICT Acceptable Use Agreement

As a college user of computers, the computer network, and the Internet, you agree to comply with the College rules on their use. You will use the computer facilities in a responsible way and observe all the restrictions explained to Email screen-shotyou by the college. If you are not clear about the College rules, ask a teacher to explain them to you.
 
Students are responsible for good behaviour when using computer facilities, just as they are in a classroom or a college corridor. General college rules apply.
 
The College's computer facilities and Internet access are provided for students to conduct research, learn new skills, support their learning, and to communicate with others. Remember that access is a privilege, not a right, and that access requires responsibility.
 
Individual users are responsible for their behaviour and communications over the network and the Internet. It is presumed that users will comply with College standards.
 
Users should not expect that files stored on servers or disks would always be private. Staff may review files and communications to ensure that users are using the system responsibly.
 
The following are not permitted:
1.  Sending or displaying offensive messages or pictures
2.  Using obscene language
3.  Harassing, insulting or attacking others
4.  Damaging computers, computer systems or computer networks
5.  Violating copyright laws
6.  Using others' passwords
7.  Trespassing in others' folders, work or files
8.  Intentionally wasting limited resources (e.g. printing)
9.  Downloading non-college related software or data files
10. Installing or running any program other than those provided by the college
 
Sanctions 
Violations of the above rules will result in a temporary or permanent ban on computer use.
Additional disciplinary action may be added in line with existing practice on inappropriate language or behaviour.
When applicable, police or local authorities may be involved.
