Coffee and Cake Success!

The staff and students at Westbourne raised over £150 for Macmillan last week, as part of Macmillan's 'The World's Biggest Coffee Morning', which helps them to help people living with cancer.

Many staff brought in cakes they had baked (and just few admitted they had bought theirs!), and then they joined together at break time to pay for Coffee and Cake, making a donation for Macmillan as they did.

The cakes were also sold to students in the Youth Club, and this area was packed out.

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support's biggest fundraising event. They ask people across the UK to hold a coffee morning, where donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year 43,000 people registered to hold a coffee morning, raising £7.9 million.
