London 2012 - Westbourne volunteers are successful!

Further to our recent news item about our students trip to the selection process for the Young Games Maker Scheme for London 2012 Mr Moore and Mr Ismay are delighted to announce that the Westbourne Team have been successfully recruited on to the Suffolk Young Games Maker Scheme for London 2012.  In February, the team will attend training sessions in Orientation Training and Role-Specific Training and in April, they will undergo Venue Training for the Paralympic athletics events.  There will be a Test Event in May to make sure everything is in full working order and ready for the Games.  Participation of this nature, in this event, will be an invaluable opportunity for all volunteers to gain experience and understanding of how a large sporting event is staged.
