Disappointing result for Year 9 Football Team

Full Time Result : Lost 2 – 0
After a great result against Thurleston, Westbourne now had a 3rd round tie against Holywells. Westbourne had hardly enough time to warm up when the referee blew to start the game. A tense start as Holywells went to get an early goal, playing balls through the defence. Alex West easily gobbled them up. Westbourne started playing balls forward for Taylor Bosanquet but he couldn’t win the ball from the tall centre backs. Holywells continued to play balls through, this time the ball went under Alex West due to wet conditions and a Holywells striker was there to tap it in. One nil at half time
After half time, Westbourne started to attack more and were looking as if they would score. Half way into the second half, Holywells scored again and the game looked beyond Westbourne. Ben Couszins went on a mad run from defence and was tackled down just outside the area. A free kick was given although Westbourne still had the ball and were in a good position and could have scored. The free kick was hit over and the game ended.
